Wildfire Resiliency with One Arroyo Foundation
We will be teaching participants how to identify native plants and habitat, and then removing invasive plants for wildfire mitigation and to clear the area for habitat restoration later in the year. This project will take place on the Lower Arroyo Seco Trail at the Gateway to Pasadena. This area has been neglected and is in need of habitat restoration and fuel reduction of invasive species. This will be an all-ages event and will have varying activities for varying age levels and mobility levels. We will also be collecting data on what plants and animals are in the area, such as identifying ground nests and other sources of habitat.
