Habitat Restoration Day with Friends of the Los Angeles River
The Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve (SBWR) is a 90-acre natural space along the LA River that supports native wildlife, over 200 species of local and migratory birds, and outdoor recreation for urban residents. Volunteers will help to increase wildfire resiliency and contribute to habitat restoration while learning about this important ecosystem. After removing invasive species and prepping the area for the winter planting season, San Fernando Valley Audubon Society docents will lead volunteers in a nature and bird sighting walk within the restored section.
