We will be hosting 3 volunteer opportunities across the UC Davis Campus on the morning of Saturday April 25: one focused on care and maintenance of recently planted trees, one on care of a climate ready-landscape, the Hunt Hall Courtyard, and one on renovating a site of future expansion for the Arboretum's Desert collection. Volunteers will engage in activities such as weeding, mulching, brush removal and pruning, ensuring that young trees receive appropriate care for successful establishment, that existing climate-ready campus landscapes are maintained to an appropriate standard, and that new planting areas are prepped for the installation of additional native and climate-adapted species. These events also offer participants an opportunity to learn about climate-appropriate plants and gardening techniques that they can apply in their own home landscapes.
