"This project focuses on building a bug hotel and worm bin in the Children's Garden of the Calaveras Master Gardeners Demo Garden, complete with educational signs. The aim is to create an awareness of the ecosystem by encouraging children to explore insects and worms at their own pace. This helps children replace fear with curiosity through close observation, encourages safe, hands-on interactions with beneficial creatures in a controlled environment, and demonstrates that most of these creatures are not interested in harming people and play important roles in nature.
