The festival will include more than 30 booths and activities in a family friendly presentation with partners ranging from Recology to Parks Foundations, local schools and marine science organizations, hosting an estimate 6,000 participants in an engaging, inspiring opportunity to celebrate Earth Month, Climate Week, and the beauty of nature.
This year's honoree, Steelhead Trout, provide a welcome reminder of how our unique coastal environment supports an incredibly resilient ecosystem, with a surviving population of these remarkable fish continuing to spawn, swim, and survive in San Pedro Creek. Visitors will be encouraged to take a short docent led Naturalist tour and learn more, while we also present educational programming and teacher toolkits for sharing at assemblies, workshops, and in the classroom.
