PacOut Green Team hosts weekly cleanup events each Saturday. The events focus on trash cleanups in parks, greenway spaces, waterways, and other public spaces. The climate action that will be addressed by the 4 cleanups hosted each Saturday in September will result in less trash reaching the bay, creeks, and other vital waterways in Humboldt County. Each cleanup will be hosted near a different waterway in September. The Fortuna Creeks Club cleanup hosted on 9/5 will support the cleanliness of the Eel River. The Somoa Bridges cleanup on 9/12 will reduce trash entering Humboldt Bay in Eureka. The Arcata Marsh cleanup on 9/19 will clear the creeks and bay directly in the Arcata bottoms. The cleanup hosted in Blue Lake on 9/26 will remove trash near the Mad River. It is important for the mission of PacOut Green Team to reach as many waterways in Humboldt County each month of the year and September will be a essential part of this effort.
