Fuel Reduction with Butte County Fire Safe Council
Join us for a day of collective action in Butte County where volunteers will reduce fire fuel by removing invasive species at the Butte Creek Ecological Preserve (the BCEP) and support native species planting at the Honey Run in Chico, California. Volunteer efforts will contribute to a more sustainable and fire-resilient community! Please see below for a more detailed schedule of the day: 9:00 am: Check-in at Chico State University. 9:30am – 10 am: Travel by bus to the BCEP. 10 am - 11:45 am: Learn about the ecology of the region and participate in invasive plant removal and native species planting at the BCEP and Honey Run Covered Bridge. 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Join us back at Chico State University for an amazing resource fair and free lunch for volunteers!
