LA Climate Week Kick-Off Event: Eaton Canyon Land Restoration
Join the official launch of the LA Climate Week in partnership with California Volunteers, a program of GO Serve, and LA Works.
The Eaton Fire changed this canyon — and the community surrounding it — forever. But Eaton Canyon is resilient. Native plants are returning, wildlife is coming back, and the land is showing signs of remarkable recovery. Now, the work is making sure that recovery holds: invasive plants need to removed and new trees need to go in the ground to strengthen the ecosystem for decades to come.
Please note: Eaton Canyon remains closed to the general public during the ongoing restoration. Access on April 8 is limited to approved, registered volunteers ONLY. Please do not visit the site without prior registration and confirmation.
Parking: The address provided is a remote parking site with a shuttle to and from the project site. Please allow enough time to park and take the shuttle to the project site - so that the event can start promptly at 8.30 AM
