We will provide a vermicomposting workshop, approximately 2-3 hours in length, at the Tule Pond facilities. Math Science Nucleus will utilize some of our course materials about the different life stages of earthworms in conjunction with plastic models of the worm life cycle to teach children the basic biology of these soil invertebrates at weekend workshops for families. For children ages 10+, we will offer basic microscopy and look closely at different invertebrates such as isopods, millipedes, springtails, and worms.
