ZERO MENtor 2026-2027
MENtors are peer-support volunteers who provide one-on-one guidance to men newly diagnosed with prostate cancer. Using their own experiences, MENtors help patients navigate emotional, practical, and informational challenges, offering support, understanding, and companionship. They maintain regular contact via phone, video, or email, share personal stories as appropriate, listen empathetically, and encourage mentees to explore credible resources and ask questions of their healthcare providers. MENtors provide guidance and moral support but do not give medical advice. Volunteers participate in training and ongoing support to ensure safe and effective mentorship.
